VISITORS Legion got off to a good start against PollyAnna’s in the first round of the Willie Pool Cup in the Langholm summer darts league.

They won the first four singles but the holders PollyAnna’s settled down and won the team game for a 6-6 draw.

The winners are the first team to reach seven points so a second team game was needed for a decision. This proved to be a closely-fought game, with neither side willing to concede.

PollyAnna’s eventually edged ahead, with G Ferguson throwing the winning dart. S Paisley scored 125 twice for Legion, while teammate S Milligan also scored 125. G Ferguson scored 140 for PollyAnna’s.

Tonight’s fixtures are: PollyAnna’s v Eskdale; Cricket Club v Buck.
