POLLYANNA’S got off to a bad start again last week, losing the first three singles to visitors Cricket Club.

However, the bottom half of the team all won, drawing the singles. From then on PollyAnna’s won every other game except one of the pairs for an 8-4 victory.

In the other match Legion shared the points in the singles games with visitors Buck, who went on to dominate the other games and won by 7-5.

The semi-finals of the Willie Pool cup take place tonight, with Eskdale v Buck and Cricket Club v PollyAnna’s.

At the halfway point of the league Cricket Club lead with 31 points.
