JACK Flash, owned by Stephanie Lithgow of Carlisle, got the better of Silver Birch in the senior trail at Rogersceugh last Tuesday.

Last Thursday at Wintershields Langholm Common Riding trail winner Houxty Beck secured another first ticket for owners George Burgon of Haltwhistle and Bill Aitchison of Wark, with Silver Birch again in second.

Last Saturday at Sewingshields Barbara and Ian Telford of Carlisle took the honours when Trust secured its first success in seven weeks to win the old dogs.

Polly was first in both mid-week pup trails for Ronnie Carr of Kirkbride, while the Lindsay sisters of Crosby-on-Eden won the Saturday event with Farm Time.

In the graded trails there was a win for John and Clare Crone of Crosby-on-Eden with Newman, while Freedom won for Norman Pattinson of Burgh-by-Sands. On Saturday Carol Spark produced the goods with Sparkling Pearl and Jackpot secured the graded pups for Eric Barker.

Ken Spark took first prize with Azinger in the open maidens last Thursday.

Marti Borthwick won the veterans trail last Saturday with Castle Thorn and the Langholm kennels also picked up place money with Castle Brae mid-week in the open maidens.
