I’VE just been reading in the gardening column of a newspaper the words “June is a lovely month to be in the garden”.
These jackdaws have got through the netting to make a nest inside this chimney pot in Langholm
So many of our bird species are declining in numbers. I always heard the call of the whaup and the peewit when out walking but now I’m lucky if I hear these iconic bird sounds.
It seems Langholm isn’t the only place to be plagued by litter louts. After we’d put the photo in last week’s jotting of the mess left at the Skippers, I read that another beauty spot had been hit.
