Will it be a soak or just a splash?

JOHNNY Cash may have been writing about Ireland when he penned the words to that seminal Irish song 40 Shades of Green but looking around Langholm at this moment in time, I can see “the midlands and the moorlands with their 40 shades of green”.

The wonder of our moorland

THERE is no more fitting tribute to our moorland than the words of Hugh MacDiarmid, now to be seen on an information board at the car park at Whita Yett.
