I’M DELIGHTED to announce that the Langholm parish church heating fund has now reached its target.

I wish I were able to thank every donor individually but there were so many.

However, I’m grateful for this opportunity to thank all the readers of the E&L Advertiser who gave so generously, especially those of you who may not be frequent churchgoers. I hope you will always look on the parish kirk as ‘yours’.

With this in mind, the church building will be open from 2pm to 4pm most afternoons from Monday to Saturday each week for those who wish to visit.

There will be many exhibitions on during this, our 400th year.

A special word of thanks to our fundraising team who have led us to our revised total of a little over £64,000 in only 20 months. Without their hard work, we’d never have got there.

Langholm church fête takes place this Sunday (24th), beginning at 2pm.

I look forward to seeing you there.
