I WOULD like to thank all those who came along to and helped at the Muckle Toon memories group in Langholm day centre for the Common Riding reminiscence.

Particular thanks to Kate and the staff and volunteers at the centre who gave a warm welcome plus tea and scones.

We had a grand blether and some heated debate about the great photos from the Langholm archive group website. I learnt a lot.

Hopefully, Muckle Toon memories will become a regular event and future topics; ‘working lives’, ‘in the mills’, ‘the munitions factory’, ‘rugby’ and ‘the war’ were suggested.
