MAY I thank the supporters of the Bonnie Langholm May draw which raised £528.

This will go towards the cost of the hanging baskets which is about £1,700 annually. Our supporters not only bought tickets but the hostelries provided wine for prizes.

Many of you will have noticed the improvements made at Rosevale Gardens, with more to be made. With all the council cutbacks, Bonnie Langholm is trying to make the beds around the town more manageable.

A frequent cry in your newspaper is the dog mess left by irresponsible dog owners. This is very evident in Rosevale Gardens and is particularly disheartening for those trying to improve our town.

We are very keen to recruit new members to our team. We would welcome anyone to join our watering rota for the baskets or do occasional weeding. If you didn’t get the opportunity to buy a raffle ticket, perhaps you would like to give us a donation towards our expenses.

The raffle winners were: £100 E Earsman and wine Doof, P Young, M Haining, J Barnfather, D Johnstone, J Donaldson, D Carter, A Jeffrey and R Paisley.
