Club thanks for RugbyForce

I WOULD like to pass on the grateful thanks of the club to all those who turned out over the weekend to help make the RBS RugbyForce a resounding success.ON behalf of Langholm RFC I would like to thank everyone who came and helped at the RBS RugbyForce event last weekend.
There are too many to thank individually but to the players who carried out work on the pitch, the girls who fed and watered us all weekend, the painters and strimmers, the boys who cleaned the roadside, those who cleaned and those who repaired thank you.
Also thanks to our visitors on Saturday from Scottish Rugby – Lee Jones, Stuart Hogg and president Alan Lawson and from RBS – Carey, Bob, Vicki and Jamie for joining us, coaching the youngsters and their very welcome support of our club.
The weekend brought all sections of the club together in exactly the way we wanted when we undertook the process to achieve accreditation as a Positive Coaching Club and we must now build on this for the season ahead.
The new 1st XV season starts on September 1 with a home game against RHC and plans are in hand for a family day starting in the morning with the senior players coming along to coach the new Lions section and culminating with a large crowd to watch the game.

It was fantastic to see so many people there, players of all ages, from mini/midis to 1st XV players, committee, parents, families and friends of the club and those involved here.
There was a lot of hard work put in by everyone over the two days and the club and grounds are now looking excellent, ready for the start of the season. It would not have been possible without the support of the Royal Bank of Scotland which sponsored the event and, in particular, the branch in Langholm.
We look forward to seeing everyone at Milntown in the coming weeks.
