MAY I, through the courtesy of your columns, thank the many organisations, family, friends and neighbours for their kind support and hospitality over the last few weeks.

I would also like to thank them for the cards, gifts and donations to Bonnie Langholm and Langholm young riders’ club.

I would like to thank Cornet Andrew Elliot for allowing me to carry the town’s standard from the Castle Craigs to Whita Well.

This meant a great deal to me. I have had a tremendous Common Riding and will have many happy memories in years to come.

Thank you all again.
