TWO superb performances in one week. Gilnockie Hall had Saturday Boy last Wednesday and what a brilliant performance from both the writer of the play Ruth Cockburn and her co-star Paul Leeming. Both showed wit and expertise in their parts.

Single file IS a problem

THE report in last week’s E&L Advertiser of the Common Riding committee meeting reveals that, regarding the issue raised at the AGM about obstacles at the Buccleuch Square pump, the committee felt that “because the procession went round the pump in single file, it was thought not to be a real problem”.
