af ref 247 1 IN COMMENTING on a survey of farmers on the issue of independence “Farmers say ‘no’ to independence” (E&L Advertiser, July 17), John Lamont MSP says: “They (farmers) realise that putting a border between Scotland and our biggest market, the rest of the UK, makes no sense.”I READ the article by John Lamont MSP stating that “more than 70 per cent of Scottish farmers say they will vote No”.SOME of the intellectual arguments concerning the referendum issues have been lost on me.
