As the 19-year-old Queen Victoria made her way into Westminster Abbey on a fine summer’s day for her coronation on June 21, 1838, the whole country was awash with celebrations.
Royal Celebrations such as coronations and jubilees have always been enthusiastically celebrated by the community in Langholm as Stuart Tedham discovers in his research into these former occasions.
