150 YEARS LANGHOLM HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY The first show for the season will be held as usual on the Summer Fair Day, being the 29th inst., in the Parish School Room, very kindly granted for that purpose.
Admission from 1 to 3 o’clock, one shilling; from 3 to 4 o’clock, sixpence; from 4 to 6 o’clock, threepence. Children one penny.
100 YEARS
CANONBIE PUBLIC HALL
An interesting and impressive ceremonial took place at Canonbie on Thursday evening, when the foundation stone of a parish hall which is in course of erection, was laid with Masonic honours.
50 YEARS
AULD KIRK
We were interested in the remarks of a visitor to the town who happened to attend the Common Riding service in the Auld Kirk on Sunday morning.
25 YEARS
COMMON RIDING SERVICES
Cornet Robert Rae along with Right-Hand Man Iain Park and Left-Hand Man Kenneth Donaldson and members of the Common Riding committee attended a memorial service in Buccleuch Park on Sunday morning.
