150 YEARS NEW LANDLORD AT CROWN INN, LANGHOLM This old and commodious hotel has again changed hands – Mr Henry Leithhead, formerly head waiter at the Tower Hotel, Hawick, having entered into possession about ten days ago.

Malcolm Johnstone, son of Mr and Mrs Johnstone, West Street, falling from his pony and breaking his wrist was the only marring feature of the Castle Craigs Club’s annual ride-out to the Benty which took place on Saturday in weather conditions ideal for the occasion.
25 YEARS
THIRD TIME LUCKY FOR WINNING PAIR
The year’s build up in Canonbie and District Pool League came to a fitting head on Sunday when the trophies were presented to the various winners and the finals were played off for the singles and pairs competitions.
