WE WERE given a photo for this week’s paper by Les Lightfoot of Canonbie depicting him and his band in the late 1960s.

The Triangle Band in the 1960s

Les told us the band was called The Triangle Band and they performed during the 1960s and 1970s, playing Scottish and Country music, and regularly played for weddings and parties.

They also travelled quite frequently, covering Langholm, Lockerbie, Annan and Carlisle.

This picture was taken in the late 1960s when they were playing at a wedding in the Eskdale Hotel. Norman Allan took the picture.
