Down Memory Lane

THIS week we refer to the Times Past article for 50 Years Ago published on June 7 about the Meikleholm houses.
The houses were built in 1962. The article said it was a near miracle what could be done with a piece of wasteground with time, labour and material.
Irene Armstrong, née Barnfather, wrote to us after reading the article and found this photo of her mum and dad outside their new front door. They were one of the first couples to move into the new houses at Meikleholm.
