A big welcome for Danish junior band

Yesterday the Railway company, in conjunction with Mr Croal Edinburgh, and Mr Leithhead of the Crown Inn here, commenced running Omnibusses to and from Langholm and Canonbie station three times a day.

UNLAWFUL FISHING

James Telford, warper, 16 Eskdaill Street, Langholm, was charged with having on 15th June, in Wauchope Water, a tributary of the River Esk, in the parish of Langholm, opposite the lands of Westwater, unlawfully by means of rod and line taken or attempting to take salmon, grilse, sea trout or whiting.

DANISH BAND ARRIVES ON FRIDAY

The Danish Mors Pigardie Band arrives in Langholm on Friday evening for a return visit and will be staying in the Langholm Academy.
