THIS photo was brought in by Jim Christie and is of the boys’ Common Riding of 1947. He was unsure of all the names but was able to give a few, including: the woman in the middle of the back row, Mrs Rodger, who cried the fair; holding the spade – David Rodger; holding the thistle – Ian Rodger; and next Elliot Little.

On the front row, middle with a white jumper – David Calvert; fourth right – Gilbert Davidson; John Irving, Jean Little and May Christie. Behind Jean is Marion Little. We have no children’s names on the left of the picture but Jim said it was from Charlotte Street/Kumasi so you can probably tell us the names.
