NATHAN Carter has been on the Irish music scene for only a little over two years and in that short time he has become the number one attraction.
He draws huge crowds wherever he goes and backed by a superb band this 22-year-old from Liverpool performs a variety of country, Irish and easy listening music.
Instant Burns – Just add Haggis is a Burns supper and show being performed by the Ideoms Theatre Company in the Buccleuch Centre on Friday, February 1.
Big Burns Supper is Dumfries’s newest festival of contemporary arts, providing a platform and showcase for quality production and artistic ambition in Dumfries, centred on Burns night celebrations and creating a massive community event for visitors and locals.
Blood Brothers, featuring West End star and multi-platinum selling artist Marti Pellow, comes to the Sands Centre for one spectacular week from Monday, February 18 to Saturday, February 23 with matinee and evening performances.
Recently returned from a Hogmanay tour of China, four members of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra who make up the Claremont String Quartet will play a programme of Schubert, Haydn, Wolf and Brahms for North Cumbria Recitals at St Cuthbert’s Church, Carlisle, tomorrow.
Rob Heron and the Tea Pad Orchestra play Carlisle Folk and Blues Club at The Sunset Suite, Brunton Park tomorrow.
