Village has some right royal fun!

NEWCASTLETON hosted a full programme of activities to celebrate the Queen’s diamond jubilee last Sunday and the chilly weather did nothing to dampen their patriotic fervour.

During the morning the Rev Stephen Fulcher of Liddesdale parish church conducted a service in Douglas Square and this was followed during the afternoon by a big party at the Polysport where there were children’s sports and fancy dress competitions for youngsters and adults.
