Town band plays to 100,000 at historic gala

FOR the first time in the near 200-year-old history of Langholm town band they played at the Durham Miners’ Gala which was marking its 128th year.
Langholm town band led the Burnhope banner in the parade at Durham Miners’ Gala
The Langholm band were one of about 40 bands which marched the miners’ banners from the Market Square to Durham sports ground last Saturday.
