Theft may help MoD depot case

UNIONS believe the theft of munitions from a train, which left from the under-threat Ministry of Defence depot at Longtown, could help the case to keep it open.
Luis Eckersley of Prospect said the location of Defence Munitions Longtown, which could be facing closure, meant munitions stored there spent less time being transported to some northern sites than from other bases.
