Talon-ted Eagles tribute

TALON, the best of the Eagles return to Langholm as part of their 15th anniversary tour. They will perform in the Buccleuch Centre on Friday, May 25.

Leah Bell brings her new character Aunty Edie to the Buccleuch Centre in this sparkling new production touring the country for the Queen’s diamond jubilee.

The Scottish Chamber Orchestra begins a busy summer of touring with two concerts in southern Scotland on May 25 and 26.

A new exhibition at Annan Museum, Beholding Beauty, is a joint display combining the work of photographers with an exhibition of Wemyss Ware pottery.

The Berlin Symphony Orchestra plays at the Sands Centre in Carlisle on Saturday, May 19 with a programme of Beethoven’s Overture to Egmont, Mozart’s Piano Concerto No21 K467 and Brahms’ Symphony No1 in C minor Op68.

Dumfries & Galloway arts festival is celebrating the best of the region’s talent by bringing local performers and figures, many with international significance, to perform.

International pianist and avid cyclist Anthony Hewitt is The Olympianist. To celebrate the London Olympics he is cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats for charity with his piano trailing in a van. The concert is on Monday, May 21 in St John’s church. Tickets are available at the door.
