Social work told to get a grip on budget

SOCIAL work services in Dumfries and Galloway face a “substantial challenge” in bringing their current budget under control.

In October committee members heard that up to September 30 there was a potential overspend of £537,000 this year and a range of measures were being taken to address the situation.
