YOUNG Curtis Charlton was feeling lucky when he tried his hand at the tombola during the Newcastleton Parish Guild coffee morning last Saturday. The event was held in the village hall and raised about £250.

There was a baking stall, along with a tombola, knitted goods and various other games such as guess the sweets in the jar and the number of kindlers in the bag.
The organisers said they would like to thank the public for their support.
