Pupils welcome Kenyan teacher

CANONBIE primary school pupils have been entertaining the headteacher of a Kenyan school they have been corresponding with for two years.
Duncan Kaoro, headteacher at Nyalenda primary school in Kenya, helps Canonbie primary school P3/4 pupils with their farming and recycling projects. They are, from left, Charley Fawkes, Marcus Adamson, Iona Stevens, Joshua Elson, Sophie Robb and Cameron Waitt
As part of an exchange scheme, 10 teachers from Kenya flew to the UK to spend time in schools in Dumfries and Galloway. Funding for the scheme is provided by the Global School Partnership and Dumfries and Galloway council.
