Prices ‘not fair for rural communities’

A REPORT by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) into markets in remote communities has concluded that weak competition results in higher prices for goods and fuel, along with poor internet connectivity and transport services.
John Lamont, Ettrick, Roxburgh and Berwickshire MSP, has welcomed the report and called for action to be taken to ensure the problems are dealt with.
