Police target drivers in month-long blitz

NINE drivers in 24 vehicles checked by police in Eskdale were issued with fixed penalty or vehicle rectification notices for various offences during a month-long operation.
The operation, run by the Annan section, dealt with some of the common causes of road traffic collisions, educated motorists on the importance of carrying out regular checks of their vehicles and ensured appropriate driver behaviour.
