Pipers in contest

THE British Pipe Band Championships will be held in Annan on Saturday.
They will be held on the Academy Playing Fields from 9.30am to 5.30pm.
More than 130 pipe bands will be competing and there will be lots of family entertainment including a craft fair and trade stands.
Tickets cost £6 in advance/£4 or £15 for a family ticket.
They will be £9 on the gate or £6 for concessions and £22 for a family ticket.
Tickets are available from Dumfries and Galloway Council on 030 33 33 3000 and all council customer service centres.
