Minister makes visit to threatened depot

A GOVERNMENT minister was in Longtown on Tuesday to hear the case for saving the military base and hundreds of jobs.
Defence minister Peter Luff visited the closure-threatened ammunition depot where it is estimated that about 100 of the jobs are held by people living on the Scottish side of the border.
