WHEN teenager Lauren Manson hired a horse for the ride-outs at Langholm, she got a lot more than she bargained for.

Lauren, 14, rode the eight-year-old mare to the Craig on Sunday and Henwell on Tuesday but found her a bit sluggish when it came to taking part in the canters and one or two people suggested she was a bit overweight.
