Lecture champions value of language

SCOTS poet and champion of the nation’s language Rab Wilson delivered the annual MacDiarmid lecture in Langholm last Saturday.

Rab, born in Ayrshire, worked in the coal pits before training as a psychiatric nurse.Now he devotes himself to Scots literature and language, writing in mainly Lallans.
