Hitting the heights

SCALING England’s highest peak in the dark of the night is among the scariest things Helen Green has ever done, especially after climbing Ben Nevis a few hours earlier.
Although exhausted, she and theatre school colleague Denise Hutton Gosney went on to battle their way up Snowdon, completing the UK’s three highest peaks in just over 24 hours. But it was the memory of Rebecca Rennie of Newcastleton who worked alongside them at Razzamataz in Carlisle which kept them going throughout the crazy challenge on August 4 and 5.
