Events planned to celebrate Armstrong link

THE town of Langholm is planning a series of events to celebrate the life of astronaut Neil Armstrong and would like people’s help to make it an event worth remembering.
Neil Armstrong's life will be celebrated with an exhibition and other events
The first man to walk on the surface of the moon visited Langholm in 1972 when he was given the freedom of the burgh in a spectacular ceremony. This was only three years after his historic space voyage.
