Langholm Academy hosted the annual event in the home economics department last Tuesday. Judge and rotary member Billy Wilson said: “Congratulations go to all our budding young chefs.
“The standard was easily the highest yet.”
The eight finalists cooked two courses for two people in two hours, for less than £10.
Ellie was presented with a trophy and a James Martin chef knife and now goes forward to the area final next year.
