FOLLOWING their defeat of holders PollyAnnas in the semi-final of the Willie Pool Cup recently, Cricket Club were hoping for a good result against home team Legion last week.

The scores were level in the singles, and Cricket Club drew ahead with the team game to play.

However, it was not to be, as Legion won the last game for a 6-6 result.

New player J. McVittie recorded the highest score of the match with 120, with team-mates S. Paisley and C. Stewart both scoring 100.For Cricket Club, J. Gormley scored 105 and D. Little 100.

In the other match, Eskdale were hosts to Buck and were no match for the visitors, losing by 10 games to two. S. Henderson of Eskdale scored 125 and his opponent, J. Pool replied with 115.

Tonight’s fixtures are PollyAnnas v Legion and Cricket Club v Eskdale.
