Construction of fifth wind turbine blocked

THE planning authority has blocked the construction of a fifth wind turbine on Carlesgill Hill because it would be in breach of a condition placed on the original application.
Craig Wind Farm Ltd had applied to put up the 99.5m high turbine for 25 years under a certificate of lawful development. The first four were built and became operational by September 2007.
