Audit ‘positive’ after inspection

DUMFRIES and Galloway council is ‘responding positively’ to the challenging financial climate and the gross cost of some services it provides is among the lowest in Scotland.

Its management was highlighted during a briefing by Audit Scotland on the council’s Assurance and Improvement Plan 2012/15 (AIP) to the audit and risk management committee.
