Academy’s pupils reap their rewards

THE annual awards ceremony for pupils at Langholm Academy was held last Tuesday when the hall was packed with excited youngsters and their parents.
Acting depute headteacher Rob Drennan welcomed everyone and among the guests who joined the school representatives at the top table were the Rev Scott McCarthy, his wife, Jane, Cat Barlow from the Making the Most of the Moorlands project and Annandale East and Eskdale councillor Denis Male.
