A view of local talent

A GROUP of photographers in Eskdale, who were disappointed when the Langholm show was cancelled because of bad weather last year and they lost their chance to show their work, have put on their own exhibition.

The cricketing connections of J M Barrie, the creator of Peter Pan, provide the theme for two events hosted by the Peter Pan Moat Brae Trust in Dumfries.

The 14th international world peace festival will welcome visitors, villagers and international guests to Allanton House, Auldgirth, this Saturday, June 23.

The Sands Centre, Carlisle welcomes back Cumbria’s award-winning StagedRight Youth Theatre which is presenting the musical Me & My Girl on Friday, July 13 and Saturday, July 14

Organisers of Youth Beatz have announced that Britain’s Got Talent stars Stavros Flatley will be the daytime act at this year’s event.

Hawick Museum in Wilton Lodge Park, Hawick is running a free exhibition of paintings by Rose Hughes, The Allotment Paintings which runs until July 30 in the Waterfall Gallery.

A free exhibition on Hawick’s sporting heroes which runs until August 19 is on the first floor balcony of the museum.

At Harestanes Countryside Visitor Centre at Ancrum near Jedburgh there will be a return visit for one of Harestanes’ most popular exhibitions from June 30 to August 20.
