Legions of cyclists and mountain bikers will be wheeling their way to the show in the Crown and Mitre Hotel.

The event is being staged from 3pm to 9pm on Thursday, March 2 and from 10am to 9pm the next day.

The sport has become more popular and the number of riders on the roads and bikers on the hills is growing.

This growing fan base has come on the back of the success of cycling teams and individuals at the Olympics and Paralympics and the Tour of Britain coming through Dumfries and Galloway and the Scottish Borders.

A show spokesman said: "Cycling continues to become more popular. Organised events and club membership have increased in recent years."

More than a dozen cycle brands, including road, hybrid, off-road and electric biking will be on display. Other features include displays from accessory manufacturers.

There will be on-the-day show offers from all the brands plus vouchers to spend in store with Bikeseven Cycle Service during March 2017.

The store has 25,000 vouchers to give away when customers attend the Border Cycle Show and redeem their £5 voucher in store until April 16.

Visitors can attend the show free anytime without pre-registration or register in advance free to be entered into a prize draw for a chance to win some amazing prizes, including VDO computers, Endura jerseys and Nukeproof pedals

Also coming up at Bikeseven are an electric bike demo and the Border Blast when riders can try out the latest mountain bike models on the trails, including electric bikes.
