£3,000 from New Year’s Doo

The Copshaw Common Riding committee held their New Year’s Honours Doo recently and, as in every year since its beginning in 1998, handed out money taken in during the previous year to some deserving groups.

This year the honours were £500 to the mothers and toddlers, £500 to the Polysport, £1,000 to the village hall and £1,000 to Newcastleton school partnership.
