£1m Lottery award for centre at school

IT HAS been the best start possible to the year for the group in Eskdale which has spent several years working on converting the former school into a multi-purpose centre for the community.

The Upper Eskdale development group has been awarded £1.145m by the Big Lottery Fund Scotland and the money will be used to put the heart back into Eskdalemuir.
