Tory plan to slash energy bills

DUMFRIESSHIRE MP David Mundell has welcomed plans by the Conservative Party which could cut household energy bills by £100.

Shadow chancellor George Osborne and shadow trade secretary Alan Duncan announced plans to reform the Post Office Card Account and potentially reduce the energy bills of up to four million people by £100.

Mr Mundell said the measure was “a significant weapon for attacking the growing pain of fuel poverty”.
