Do Man Utd or Man City boast the best attacking line?

It’s clear that both Man Utd and Man City host an array of attacking talent, but who has the best set of strikers at their disposal?
United clearly boast a formidable front four in Rooney, van Persie, Hernandez and Welbeck, but is it stronger than City’s Aguero, Tevez, Dzeko and Balotelli? It would certainly be a fair comment to say that van Persie’s arrival this season has brought a new dimension to the offensive options available at Old Trafford.
However, even though City have started Premier League games with Aguero and Tevez, they have been able to call upon Edin Dzeko, who has, more often than not, had the desired effect off the substitutes’ bench this season. In a similar vein at United, Hernandez has managed to rejuvenate his form, leading to comparisons with Old Trafford legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
It appears that Manchester United have what could be a perfect balance up front. With the ability to cause problems from deep, and provide a precise pass in Rooney, alongside the predatory goalscoring instincts of Robin van Persie, this appears to give them the edge. Despite this, it would become interesting should Mario Balotelli come into the picture for City this season, as he could help his side match the new found impetus at United.
The decision is certainly a close call. However, the fact is that the front four at United appear far more settled than those at City currently, with there being a confidence that they could do a suitable job if started together. However, there’s not that certainty at the moment with City, as I’m not sure supporters at the Etihad would be as confident with a front pairing of Dzeko and Balotelli as they may have been last season.
