Ayr defies weather to stage good card

THERE has not been much National Hunt action lately because of the bad weather but there was a good card at Ayr last Wednesday.
Westerkirk trainer James Ewart had several runners at the meeting but failed to get into the winner’s enclosure. He did, however, pick up some place money.
