Appeal after £1,000 theft

POLICE are investigating the theft of cash and cigarettes worth more than £1,000 from Langholm’s High Street filling station.

The incident happened at about 11.20pm on Monday.
Police want to trace three youths who were seen at the premises at this time. They are described as being male and about 14 to 15 years old.
One was described as being of stocky build and about five feet five inches tall. He was wearing a dark hoodie. A second youth was about five feet tall and wearing a light-coloured hoodie and he had fair hair.
The only description of the third male was that he was wearing a dark hoodie.
Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to call the police on 0845 600 5701 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
