NOW the summer holidays are here the E&L Advertiser is being packed into people’s bags and going on its travels.

Hazel Bell and Mick Ryan, along with Alastair and Libby Bell, all of Langholm, enjoyed a cruise in the Mediterranean, visiting places such as Crete, Dubrovnik, Corfu and Athens where they visited the Acropolis and saw the magnificent Parthenon.
Audrey Maxwell of Langholm and her friend Wilma Wigfield, who lives in New Jersey but is originally from Lockerbie, went to Venice and they are pictured here with the E&L on the Rialto bridge with the Grand Canal in the background.
Bobby and Mamie Morrison went on a cruise in the Baltic and stopped off at a number of places on the way, including the historic city of Tallin in Estonia where they were shown around by a friend of their daughter.
