Make the best of sunshine

WHAT a weekend, I don’t think I have seen any rain like it.
I visited the Highland Show on Friday and as I was just beginning to get wet on the inside, an almighty thunderstorm crashed outside and a torrential downpour ensued which left the place like a quagmire.
However as we headed back to work this week the sun has begun to shine, but for how long?
Store cattle and ewe and lamb numbers dwindle and remain short of requirements as the grass keeps growing.
Prime cattle and cull cows remain dear and lambs and ewes remain better than expected.
